I've been listening to a bunch of old Casting Crowns songs, having forgotten how good they are, and its wierd, I realized for the first time just now, listening to this song, that God used crucifixion because Jesus' arms would literally be stretched open, symbolizing Him waiting for us with open arms, as well as the fact that they would be pointing out on both sides, showing that He was casting our sins out on east and west.
